Fruit and Vegetable Challenge Pledge

Adding more fruits and vegetables to your diet supports overall health, reduces the risk of chronic diseases, helps with weight management and provides essential nutrients. The Fruit and Vegetable Challenge encourages you to increase your daily fruit and vegetable intake.

During the months of July, August, and September we encourage you to track your weekly fruit and vegetable intake, with the goal being at least 5 servings each day. Reaching at least 5 fruits and vegetables a day is not as hard as you think:
  • A serving of veggies is only 1/2 cup of cooked veggies or 1 cup of raw veggies.
  • A serving of fruit is only 1 cup of fresh, frozen, or canned fruit or 1/2 cup of fruit juice.

Remember even small changes can lead to big results because Healthy Choices Count! We will share a link to the weekly tracking log on our website and social media.
